Mr. Swing Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Mr. Swing, a game by Odd Sock Games, handles your information.
The short version
You don't need an account to play, and we don't run servers that store your information. Mr. Swing shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google collects some data to provide them. Purchases are handled by Google Play. The game asks your age when you first open it, and players under 16 get more limited ads.
Information saved on your device
The game saves the following on your device so you can pick up where you left off:
- Levels unlocked, stars earned and your best Endless score
- Coins, shop items owned, items equipped and purchases made
- Your sound setting and the number of runs you've played, which is used to space out ads
- Whether the age you entered was under 16, which decides the kind of ads you see. The age itself isn't saved
This information isn't sent to us. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes it from your device.
Advertising
Mr. Swing uses Google AdMob to show ads. Some are breaks between runs, and others are optional ads you choose to watch for a reward. To provide ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares:
- Your IP address, which can help estimate your general location
- Your interactions with the app and its ads, such as app launches, taps and video views
- Diagnostic information, such as app and SDK performance
- Device and account identifiers, such as your Android advertising ID and app set ID
Google handles this data as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We don't receive information from this that identifies you.
All ads are limited to Google's general audience rating. If you enter an age under 16, the game tells Google to treat you as a child: ads aren't personalized and your advertising ID isn't sent. Google may still receive other information from the list above, such as your IP address, to show the ad and prevent fraud.
Your ad choices
- Where the law requires it, such as in the European Economic Area and the UK, the game asks for your consent before showing ads. When it's required, you can change your choice with the Privacy button on the Store screen in the shop.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Buying Remove Ads turns off ad breaks. Optional reward ads stay available if you choose to watch them, and they still involve the data described above.
Purchases
Google Play processes all purchases. We don't see or store your payment details. Google Play tells the app which items you own, so they can be restored on your device.
Device backups
Android may include your game data in your device's backup to your Google account, depending on your device settings. You control this in your Android settings, and we can't access those backups.
Google Play
Google handles downloads and updates of the game under its own privacy policy. Google may give us statistics through Google Play Console and AdMob, such as install numbers, ratings, crash reports and ad performance. We use these to understand and improve the game, and we don't use them to identify you.
Children
Mr. Swing is for players of all ages, including children. The game asks how old you are when you first open it, and it doesn't request any ads until you answer. Players who enter an age under 16 get the limited ads described under Advertising.
We don't ask for a name, email address or account. Parents and guardians can remove the game's saved information by uninstalling the game or clearing its data, and can contact us at the address below with any questions about a child's information.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes how it handles information, we'll update this policy and its effective date before that version is released.
